Academie van Bouwkunst
For the Academy of Architecture Amsterdam, located on the characteristic Waterlooplein, Atomis B.V. contributed to a high-quality lighting project in collaboration with lighting design studio 50LUX. This location, where architecture, design and creativity come together, called for a lighting plan that is both functional and aesthetically refined.

The design of 50LUX is known for its eye for detail, atmosphere and spatial experience. Through the use of carefully selected Atomis luminaires, lighting was realised that strengthens the architectural qualities of the building and optimally matches the use of the various spaces.
The lighting concept was developed for several important zones within the academy:
Each space called for its own lighting approach, attuned to function, atmosphere and comfort.
The Lightscape-S 80 was used as a linear architectural lighting solution that provides calm, even base lighting. Thanks to its clean design, the luminaire integrates seamlessly into the modern interior architecture of the academy and supports the spatial lines of the building.
The lighting design of 50LUX brings functionality and atmosphere together perfectly. A balanced combination of base light and accent lighting creates an environment that is both inspiring and comfortable for students, teachers and visitors. The lighting not only supports daily activities but also emphasises the architectural character of the building.
This project at the Academy of Architecture Amsterdam shows the power of collaboration between design and technology. With high-quality luminaires from Atomis B.V. and the thoughtful lighting concept of 50LUX, a future-proof and aesthetic lighting solution was realised that befits an institute where architecture is central.
