Museum De Buitenplaats

Museum De Buitenplaats is a museum for figurative art from after 1945, located in Eelde in Drenthe. The museum consists of a modern pavilion, a museum garden with an orangery and museum café, and the seventeenth-century Nijsinghhuis. A special location where art, architecture and landscape come together.

For the exhibition Power to the Flower, on behalf of and in collaboration with 50LUX – Lichtontwerp & advies, we were able to supply our Zumo 60 luminaires. These spots are eminently suitable for museum applications thanks to the integrated zoom lens. With it, the beam width is easy to adjust and the light can be precisely tuned to each individual artwork.

The flexibility of the Zumo 60 makes it possible to place accents where needed while maintaining calm and cohesion in the space. Ideal for an exhibition with diverse objects and scales, where focus and nuance are essential to the experience.

The light supports the exhibition without dominating and reinforces both the artworks and the spatial quality of the museum. A subtle but powerful contribution to the overall visitor experience.
