Nationaal Militair Museum (NMM), Soesterberg
For the National Military Museum, we were proud to provide the lighting for a special exhibition within this beautiful and unique museum. In a space where emotion, detail and experience come together, lighting plays a crucial role. The right light makes objects visible, reinforces emotions and draws attention exactly where it belongs. A beautiful lighting plan by 50LUX ensured that all the pieces are shown to their best advantage.
For this project we chose high-quality Zumo spots from Atomis: LED track luminaires specially designed for architectural and exhibition lighting, offering a perfect balance between technical performance and visual quality.
What makes the Zumo spots special is their zoomable optics: the width of the light beam is continuously adjustable, so the spots are flexible to use and can be tailored specifically to different objects and spatial situations. This makes it possible to achieve both focused accent lighting and broader, soft illumination, depending on the purpose of the presentation.
In addition, Zumo spots have a high colour rendering index (CRI > 97), meaning that artworks, historic objects and materials are rendered very true to life and vividly under the light. This contributes to an optimal experience of the exhibition pieces and increases the impact of the stories on display.
