Our luminaires are designed with care and produced with attention — but what makes our production process truly special is the close collaboration with sheltered workshops and inclusive enterprises. These partners form an essential part of our organisation. We deliberately choose long-term partnerships built on mutual trust, respect and open communication. Thanks to this close bond we can count not only on high quality and craftsmanship, but also on a pleasant, reliable collaboration in which everyone is in the right place.

Responsible production

In the sheltered workshops we work with, people at a distance from the labour market get the chance to show their talents and develop further. Our experience is that these employees bring enormous commitment, precision and pride to their work. This makes our luminaires not only technically excellent, but also gives them a valuable, human dimension.

We believe that sustainable production goes beyond selecting environmentally friendly materials or minimising waste. It is also about creating fair opportunities, building inclusive teams and supporting organisations with a positive social impact. The result is energy-efficient lighting created with care, dedication and social responsibility — lighting that we, our partners and our clients can be proud of.

Impact beyond the product

For us, social entrepreneurship means much more than making business decisions; it is about taking responsibility for the impact of everything we do. We believe business only becomes truly valuable when it contributes to a society in which everyone can participate. Working with people at a distance from the labour market, we see every day how much talent, motivation and craftsmanship emerges when opportunities are shared fairly.

For us, social entrepreneurship is therefore not a separate activity but a choice deeply woven into the way we work. By consciously investing in inclusive partnerships, we build a future that is fairer, more human and stronger — for our organisation and for society as a whole.

Naturalis — lighting with social impact

For Naturalis Biodiversity Center, Atomis provided the lighting for all laboratories and stairwells. In an environment where research, precision and reliability are paramount, durable and robust lighting solutions with a long service life were chosen. Luminaires applied include Fusion-K climate ceiling luminaires, Corona 290 wall luminaires and Meson Pro-C surface-mounted luminaires.

As lighting designed and produced in the Netherlands, this project reflects our vision of sustainable and socially responsible business. The project was realised in collaboration with Huisman & Van Muijen and Kuijpers — a fine example of how technology, sustainability and social entrepreneurship come together in lighting that matters.
